Face Fit Testing

We provide support and testing to ensure that appropriate RPE is suitable for wearers by ensuring a tight fitting seal. 

In order to regulate respiratory protection, there is an obligation for all employers in the UK to ensure that all tight-fitting respirators are fit tested to employees individually. These requirements are set out in the Health and Safety Executive’s HSG53 and INDG 479 guidance. This is the case for all disposable, half and full-face masks. We can support you in achieving this compliance as you protect the safety of your most valuable investment, your workforce. 

The process of face fit testing is a crucial element in ensuring that people are protected from airborne hazzards.    

Our consultants are qualified and competent face fitters. We can face fit disposable and reusable masks using the Qualitative or Quantitative method. We offer testing packages that provide not only the very best solutions for you as our customers, but also for your workforce. 

We provide fully compliant HSE reports and certification and can also advise on creating testing schedules to ensure continued compliance.

Our team has a strong medical background. Our Respiratory Health Lead has over 30 years of experience as a medical practitioner in a variety of health care settings.   Alongside our comprehensive medical background we also have extensive experience of working with people. We understand that face fit testing is not just a technical process. The process can seem unnatural and it is important for us that the testing is carried out in a person-centred way. We provide a testing service that is not only HSE compliant but is also focussed on ensuring that candidates feel comfortable and confident in using the protective equipment that has been provided to them.
